Just thought I would write you an email about a nice little story re the above property.
On cleaning the house, the clients came to visit. (mum,dad,daughter and 2 grandkids!) They were a really lovely family who were so excited about their new home. They had all invested into the property so they could all live as a family unit.
They could not stop telling me about how great there experience with Avelinghomes has been. They were full of praise for Mike their supervisor, how he was always happy to talk them through what was going on.
What made me write to you was the following:
They told me that their little grandson would pop by with his nan on his way to kindy every morning as he wanted to see the builders. The bricklayer was very good with the little boy, and said to him would you like to lay a brick in your new house. So this kind man let the little boy lay a couple of bricks.
When I was at the house cleaning, the little boy grabbed my hand and took me outside to show me the little bit of wall that he had built himself, he was so proud
It’s nice to know that you have some great trades out there who are really good with the clients and I thought that you should know, that there are good people out there working for you.

I am writing to thank your team, in particular Betty Serra, for making the building of our new home such an enjoyable experience. I am thrilled with the final result, it has come together even better than I imagined.
I would like to acknowledge the much-valued contribution that Betty made to our building experience. She quickly got to know me during the pre-start meetings and established what kind of vision I had for both the exterior and interior look of our home. From here Betty’s experience in a wide range of building processes became evident. She was able to make suggestions that assisted in creating the overall look that I was after without confusing me by giving me too many choices. I appreciate the time and effort that she took to follow up on the few items that we weren’t 100% sure of and I can say that the end result is fantastic.
What also became evident during my meetings with Betty and the construction process are the excellent relationships that she has with her colleagues. There were times when she had responses back from her construction manager; the estimating team or suppliers before I thought it should have been possible.
Having seen Betty interact with some of her colleagues it was obvious to me that they held her in very high regard. Our building supervisor even made a comment about, “Betty having very good taste.” I certainly felt much more confident in my pre-start selections after working through them with Betty, thank you!
We have a number of friends who have built in the last few years and some who are currently building. I can honestly say that we are the envy of them all as we have had such a smooth experience without the delays, dramas and dissatisfaction that seem to result in most people thinking that building is a very stressful process to be endured.
I have enjoyed working with all of your staff from the early design stages to the finishing touches and have appreciated the regular communication and updates throughout.
We look forward to completing the finishing touches to our ‘dream home’.

My wife and I have just signed up to have our new house built with Aveling Homes and we would just like to say how impressed we were with the service we received from your rep Terry Seeman.
We had other builder we could have chosen to build our new home but we chose Aveling because of Terry’s knowledge, helpfulness and patience.
His total professionalism shone through from the moment we walked into your show home in Aveley, and explained that we would like to build a home to our own design, as we had not seen any floor plans that suited us.
In closing we would like to say that if the rest of our dealings with Aveling Homes is half as good as they have been with Terry, then we are sure that building our new home with you is going to be very pleasant experience.

Overall we have had a positive building experience. As a team Aveling worked hard to answer our questions and respond to any queries promptly. We are very thankful to especially June Yap and Christina Witt for all their help during the process and have them made the experience a lot easier for us. Building for the first time we were lost at time and they were always happy to discuss things with us and help us to achieve exactly what we wanted.
We also feel that in comparison with other building companies initially we were given a more personalized service by Debra Burgess and she took the time to come out to us and go through the best housing plans to suit our family, unlike the other companies who were rude talking on the phone during meetings. Debra always made us feel like a priority. This level of service is what made us choose Aveling Homes. We would feel confident to choose Aveling Homes if we built again. Also we found the house designs much more modern and good value for money.

Hi Mike,
I would like to take the opportunity, on behalf of my wife and myself, to thank you personally for the manner in which you and your staff have worked so diligently to get our lovely new home and our investment house to construction stage, it has been a pleasure to deal with everyone from the reception girls through to the drafting department, but in particular I would like to make Special Mention of Betty Serra in the pre start department. As you know we have built 14 homes with numerous other builders, and the home that you are now doing is a “one off” special design that required an enormous amount of work and effort to bring it all together. Everything that we selected was out or the ordinary scope of things. In all my years of building I have never met anyone like Betty.
Her work performance, lovely friendly nature and her attention to detail was superb to say the least. Nothing was ever too much trouble no matter how difficult the situation may have been, and believe me we are very particular people. When there was a major road block to achieving our goals, Betty always found a way to get around the problem. Towards the end of the prestart period Betty was so switched on to our needs, likes and dislikes that we could trust her 100% to make the correct decision on our behalf, I have never allowed that luxury to any other pre start employee! Mike, Betty has been an absolute delight to us and if you continue to employ such high calibre staff like her within your Aveling Homes company, I can assure you that your company could be nothing but highly successful and as such I will continue to recommend you and to continue to do business with Aveling Homes. Could you please pass on our sincere thanks to Betty for making our journey so enjoyable and stress free.

Just been for the pre-handover inspection on my house and its flipping wonderful. The whole experience has been fabulous from start to finish – I was expecting it to be a lot harder than it was and the building quality has been great. Of course there has been the odd up and down on the road to building but 98% of the road has been smooth and the 2% that hasn’t has been dealt with by Aveling fabulously on every level from Jessica in prestart, Eleni in accounts, Paul the project manager and Cristina the construction liason person. Thanks guys can’t wait to be able to start house #2! but before that I need to enjoy house #1!

We recently finished building with Aveling Homes, and have now lived in our home for four months. We could not be happier with the entire experience, from initial consultation to handover of our home, and beyond.
Having watched many friends undertake the building process in the past, we were expecting the worst – undue delays, unresponsiveness, substandard workmanship, etc. However, we could not have been more wrong.
Our initial contact with owner Mike Aveling and his gifted designer, Tony, filled us with confidence that Aveling would deliver a quality, liveable home. We were then introduced to our individual consultant, June, who was extremely hard working, efficient, and skilled at her job – right down to her excellent advice on selecting complementary styles and colours when completing our pre-start. Even subsequent variations were dealt with happily and promptly.
Our construction supervisor, Paul, could not have been more diligent or helpful. All questions or issues were dealt with promptly, and Paul’s management of site contractors was exemplary. All contractors used were very skilled and, despite our high expectations, we were very impressed with the quality of their workmanship.
Our two-storey home took less than 10 months to complete, from laying of the slab to handover. The only delay in the process had been prior to commencement – council approvals – and the delay would have been even longer but for the excellent communication and negotiation undertaken by Aveling with the council.
Our house is now a home – and one which is a delight to live in. We have no hesitation in recommending Aveling Homes to any prospective client.

Excellent from day one to handover. Working through the initial design process, everything was clear and upfront, no surprises, everything explained thoroughly and no false promises. During the building phase, we received regular communication, even if there was no news to report, we would still receive the call telling us how things were progressing. Quality of the build and the fixtures and fittings is spot on and any issues we had were dealt with promptly. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Aveling to anyone.

This is our first time building in Australia and we plan never to move. We were recommended Dave Allan and from then on in we have been delighted with the service. Dave designed exactly what we wanted answering every question promptly. He came up with ideas, helping us and kept us informed at every step. Once house had been set were handed over to pre-start team of Brooke and June. We went in to our pre-start meeting overwhelmed and came out with a beautifully finished house. Junes knowledge and eye for design was fantastic! All through the process any Aveling staff we have encoutered have been polite, helpful and friendly. Nothing is ever to much to ask. They are great. We now have a slab down and walls going up. So far our build/site team Darren, Lauren and Mike have been great. The builders are doing a great job to!!!! We have recommended Aveling and would again.

Quality Construction, Great Communication and Excellent Staff
Pros: Great price for what you get
Overall: The construction was faultless and the finishings fantastic. We are very happy with our new home! We have had several friends build over the last 12 months all thru other popular Perth builders and they have all commented on the quality of our end product compared to there’s, the quality of the plaster finish and tiling drawing the most comments.
The staff were very friendly and right throughout the build always in contact with updates and new milestone dates. We couldn’t ask for anything more, it was a great experience building with Aveling homes they made it very easy for us and I would recommend them to anyone.
Hats off to Mike and the Team for what is sure to become one of Perths best builders!!

I would like to start by saying thank you for building such a wonderful house for my wife Kim and myself. We have been extremely happy with choosing Aveling Homes. The house that we choose was not the standard design and we were quite particular in the design that we wanted.
Aveling Homes were so easy to deal with from the design stage of the house to the final inspection. You are very lucky to have so good staff that are passionate about what they do and going that extra mile to achieve the outcome.
